A colourful outlook in Driebergen
During the year, different activities are organised in and around Driebergen. One example of this is the Bloemencorso in Leersum. When you enter the city centre of Driebergen, one thing immediately catches the attention; a lot of flowers in the street. The village in the province of Utrecht has around 18.000 residents and they are daily greated in a colourful way when walking on the street. Driebergen has added flowers in different places throughout the village to add colour to the streetscape.
Streetscape
Hanging baskets are installed in different places, such as in the shopping street Traay. Different shopkeepers in the street think it's a great addition to the streetscape. 'It gives a very cozy feeling, I really love the colours!' - Traay Kaashuys. Florist Lavendel is also positive: 'It creates a lot of ambiance and we are of course always happy with flowers'. Every few meters, the flowers are blooming to add an extra dose of atmosphere to the street. Even during the market, the flower baskets stand out.
Hanging baskets
Driebergen has chosen hanging baskets that are attached to lampposts with brackets. Due to the water reservoirs on both sides of the lamppost, the baskets are supplied with water and waste is prevented. With the hanging baskets, you create a lot of greenery, but you don't sacrifice space.
