A colourful oasis

With nearly one million visitors a year, Haarlem is one of the four largest cities in the Netherlands (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht). This can be explained by the wide range of art, culture and shops. In addition, the Bloemencorso flower parade and flower weekend attract many tourists from their own country and beyond. It is not a surprise that Haarlem is fond of flowers, but the way in which this is expressed might surprise you. Beautiful flower pyramids, hanging baskets on lampposts and flower balls decorate the streets and squares.
