A green boost for a garden village

A new green neighbourhood, Vreewijk, is now well and truly on the map. With its beautiful array of hedera screens, the new district now boasts the screens as part of the regeneration project. The tired, run-down 100-year old buildings received an amazing transformation. The project, commissioned and completed by the housing company Rhea Wonen, has replaced and refreshed 56 derelict buildings.

A kilometre of hedging

As important as the improvement of its green credentials was the regeneration’s adherence to the landscape’s historical value and character. Garden villages created across The Netherlands in the 1920’s are characterised by housing blocks and a large communal garden, with a mass of green elements throughout. Mobilane maintained and added to this garden blueprint by delivering a 1 kilometre stretch of Mobilane Green Screens at 1.8m in height and planted with Hedera helix Woerner.

Fully-grown and instant

The fully grown Mobilane Green Screens give the newly-built district an instant green punch, with the added benefits of improved privacy for its inhabitants and local community.
